Prime Four sponsored runners to complete amazing run
On the 7th September Anita Hastie and Tracey Innes undertook the arduous challenge of the Tiree Ultramarathon. It was the first Ultramarathon ever to be held on the island and Prime Four sponsored both runners to endure an astonishing 35 mile run around the whole island covering beach, grass, road and various types of terrain. It was not just for "fun" though, the girls had a worthy and meaningful cause to motivate them around the course and ran for CDH UK charity.
A long and busy summer of running put the girls on good stead for the race and judging by the amount of pictures they took of the stunning scenery on the day, you would have thought they had undergone a photography course too! Glorious weather, excellent organisation, encouraging marshals and spectators all added to a positive event experience. All 45 runners finished the race with times ranging between 4hrs 37mins to 9hrs 58mins. Anita and Tracey completed the course together and with the goal of just finishing the race, they came over the finish line in a respectable time of 8hrs 11mins. Ultimately they wanted to enjoy the experience, raise awareness and funds for CDH UK. With over £2000 raised for the charity and smiles on their faces after the finish line, they achieved both.
