Prime Four to Sponsor Beast
PRIME FOUR BUSINESS PARK ANNOUNCED AS TITLE SPONSOR OF THE BEAST RACE
Prime Four, Aberdeen’s first world-class business park, has been announced as the new title sponsor of the Beast Race until 2016.
The ‘Prime Four Beast Race’ promises to build on last years’ hugely successful inaugural event held at Knockburn Loch, near Banchory. Up to 2000 brave racers will tackle a gruelling 10km course and conquer 30 epic obstacles, crawling through mud, climbing over 12ft high wooden walls, squeezing through tunnels and sliding into icy loch water!
The event at Knockburn Loch will be held on Saturday 27th September and will be joined this year by a new Prime Four Beast Race which will take place on the banks of Loch Ness three weeks earlier on Saturday 6th September.
Both events are not just about the racing however, and the inaugural ‘Beast’ proved to be a great spectacle and family day out last year. Supporters are encouraged to attend and can enjoy fine local food and refreshments whilst cheering on others doing all the hard work.
Jono Buckland of Firetrail events said:
“We are delighted that Prime Four has come on board as title sponsor. Their support is great news for the expansion of the events across two beautiful venues; but more challenging news for participants as it means they can expect even more obstacles, more mud and more of a beasting!”
“We are also expecting the events to raise over £50,000 for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland who provide care and support to victims and families of coronary heart disease, stroke and chest illness”.
Fife Hyland, from Prime Four Management said:
“We are excited to be working in partnership with Firetrail Events to stage the Prime Four Beast Races at Knockburn and Loch Ness in 2014.
“Prime Four is different from any business park in Scotland, as we run a programme of on-site sporting and social activities for tenant businesses, focusing on the health and wellbeing of staff. The Prime Four Beast Races provide an excellent opportunity for us to promote these services and to ensure staff from all our resident companies, such as Nexen, Transocean, Apache and Premier Oil have the opportunity to participate.
“Fitness, resilience, creativity, and most importantly, team work, are all required to complete the races, and our events team will be running training sessions at Prime Four for participants in the build up to both events.”
